I could eat him up!!!

Today we went to Babies r us and had some pictures taken. The man was a natural, crawling and smiling. A little top model! Needles to say we bought MANY photos. My favorite is the one of him holding his feet.

My cup runneth over...

I sing this corny song to Dylan all the time. It means so much so me that such a simple thing is perfect for my love for him.
Sometimes in the morning when shadows are deep
I lie here beside you just watching you sleep
And sometimes I whisper what I'm thinking of
My cup runneth over with love

Sometimes in the evening when you do not see
I study the small things you do constantly
I memorize moments that I'm fondest of
My cup runneth over with love

In only a moment we both will be old
We won't even notice the world turning cold
And so, in these moments with sunlight above
My cup runneth over with love

Babies make everything full of sunlight from above. (Esp at 4am!) He turns me into mush. I will do anything for a smile. When he is being held by someone else and he wants me he gets very loud, and reaches frantically for me. When I pick him up he giggles and sighs and throws his arms around my neck and climbs as high as he can, up on my neck. ALmost like he wants to be in my skin. I love him. I love him. I love you Dylan. Everyone in this family loves this baby. He has given us all the wonder and hope of childhood.

We have been a family for 2 months now. We are all so in love. We have all grown so much closer. I think we all try harder to help each other. We wake up happy to be a unit. Our unit. I feel so blessed to have my children. To love them all so deeply. They all grow too quickly. We had an adoption reunion party last week end. Emily has been our child for over 11 years now, she will soon be 12. The girls get along so well and I am so grateful for the people I met through adoption.

In the past month Dylan now speed crawls, pulls himself anywhere he can. He also eats like a champ! Anything and everything and if we are eating it we better be able to share. OR ELSE! I had to go to work last week and help teach an Er Peds class. I lectured with him on my hip...blowing raspberries! (Dylan, not me)

First mountain

My 2 favorite human men. (The other man is my dog).

We took a short hike to the top of Owl Mountain. The fall colors we incredible.

"Mommy, I hope you brought another diaper!"

Clearly being carried up and down a mountain is very exhausting!

Lake Placid mini break

Every year around my birthday Chris will humor me and actually, willingly hike a large mountain with me. So every year we come back to my favorite place in the world. Lake Placid NY. We got engaged on the top of one of the high peaks and I cannot wait to get Dylan up the mountain. I bought a kelty backpack at the local consignment store and will try it out tomorow. We had a nice ride and Dylan was a trooper. Bailey was a nervous wreck, weird, cause he is a seasoned car rider. He ended up with his big monkey self sitting on the floor on top of a can of formula and jars of baby food. Ok, totally random, but has anyone ever passed gas and blamed it on the dog? Can somone tell the difference? Our converstaion this weekend is centered around this topic! Glad we are parents of three! I will let you know tomorrows topic.
We had a great diner at the cottage. We did take out and sat on the lower deck on the lake, drinks and all. Best view, best company, my men and me! The girls were with their dad. Normally I work this weekend but am off for another month. Will post some fall views tomorrow.
